Heyzap is an interesting startup which allows any website or blog to take the most exciting flash games and put them into their website. This results in the website/blog having increased traffic, user time of site and engagement. Heyzap essentially allows you to embed the flash games on your blog or website. This is similar to embedding videos on your website.

Heyzap.com has been founded by Jude Gomila, and Immad Akhund, two 24-year old British developers. Currently Heyzap has around 12000 games in their library. So essentially, they host the game ( like Youtube hosts the videos) but the player plays the game on your website. This certainly sounds very cool and interesting to me as this can lead to more traffic turning up on your site and also longer visit times.

If you are wondering how Heyzap makes money, well the answer is Advertising. Ads are shown while the game is being downloaded. Heyzap also shares part of the revenue with the games developers, providing an income stream and encouraging more games to be designed. The website currently hosts games under categories like Sports, Shooter, Strategy, Puzzle, Action, Multiplayer, Adventure, Life & Style.

For publishers, Heyzap also provides a Dashboard which lists down the number of games played on a this month and total basis.

If you are a developer, you can upload your Flash games using the Heyzap API.
